A possible American link.

In a conversation with my Mum in 2002 I found out that an Aunt and Uncle on my Father's side who I knew quite well from having stayed with them as a child, had corresponded and met in person, a couple from USA, Diane and Michael Beaumont in the 1990's. Diane and Michael had been researchiing the Beaumont surname since around the early 1990's and had been to Yorkshire looking at other records. How I wish I had had the opportunity to meet them!
I had been given a summary of their findings which I read through but it wasn't till 2003 that I decided to email  Diana.
Had a lovely reply back and they informed me that they had written a book called "Forefathers A History of the Working Class Beaumonts of West Riding, Yorkshire  Beaumonts of Cawthorne,Denby,Penistone and Hoylandswaine  and that my family was in Volume 2.
I could have borrowed the copy that my Aunt and Uncle had but I wanted my own copy.
A lot of their research was done by looking at original records as a lot of information was not available online at that time so I am indebted to them for the vast amount of information that they found.
